Yes. Hosting is included for all active Care Plan clients.

Yes. Care Plans are built around a managed environment where I control performance, security, backups, and monitoring. That's what allows me to respond quickly and keep your site stable over time. Migration to my hosting is included as part of every project.

No problem. Migration is handled during onboarding and is typically straightforward. You don't need to manage anything on your end.

My Care Plans aren't the right fit in that case. I'm happy to point you toward a provider who offers host-agnostic WordPress maintenance.

If your site was built by us and is on an active Care Plan, we’ll investigate and resolve issues caused by:

• WordPress, theme, or plugin updates in our standard stack
• Hosting or server environment
• Routine site health and security

Our standard stack includes the tools we install and maintain for every site, such as the page builder, caching and security plugins, SEO and analytics plugins, and your privacy policy plugin.

If something breaks outside this stack — such as multilingual plugins (TranslatePress, WPML, GTranslate), social media embeds (WP Social Ninja, Smash Balloon), event/calendar plugins, membership systems, or any plugin the client installs after launch — that support will be billed separately at our hourly rate.

Not completely. No tool or service can promise that. What we can promise is that your site stays updated, monitored, and backed up every day, which eliminates most of the risk. Outdated, unmonitored sites are the ones that get hacked. Yours will not be either

WordPress sites require regular updates, security monitoring, and backups. Without a plan in place, you risk broken features, slow load times, or being hacked. A Care Plan protects your investment and ensures your website keeps doing its job.

If you choose not to enroll in a Care Plan after your project ends, you’ll need to migrate your site to your own hosting provider. We offer migration support if this is the path you choose.

At this time, Care Plans are only available to clients whose sites were built through our studio or the Growing Roots Website System. This helps us ensure compatibility and quality support.

Premium plugins are the high-quality, paid tools that quietly run the most important parts of your website. They handle speed, security, accessibility, SEO, and legal compliance behind the scenes so you don’t have to chase issues or patch problems after they happen. Most nonprofits end up paying separately for a handful of them. Your Care Plan bundles them together, ensures they’re configured correctly, and keeps them updated so your site stays fast, secure, compliant, and easy to manage.

We’ve been in the WordPress world for a long time and have tested more plugins than we care to admit. We only use tools that are lightweight, reliable, and genuinely improve your site’s performance and security.

With a Care Plan, your site is hosted with us and set up with:

• Fathom Analytics — simple, privacy-first website analytics with real-time insights, a lightweight script that will not slow your site down, and an honest paid model that never sells visitor data. No cookies, no creepy tracking, and built for GDPR and other privacy laws.
• Accessibility Checker Pro — continuous monitoring so accessibility issues get caught before they become problems
• FlyingCDN — content delivery optimization so your site loads fast for every visitor, everywhere
• Termageddon — your Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Terms of Service update automatically when laws change. No lawyer needed.
• Hosting, daily backups, uptime monitoring, security, and plugin updates — all handled
• Two monthly reports delivered to your inbox — one showing your site traffic and visitor data, one summarizing your site's health, updates, and care plan activity

Without a Care Plan, these are not included and your site is configured accordingly. Your site will still work seamlessly — but privacy-first analytics, accessibility monitoring, CDN performance, and auto-updating legal policies won't be included. You do have the option of purchasing these tools separately and we can help configure them for you.

Accessibility Checker Pro is installed on your website as part of your Care Plan. This plugin provides automated scans only. Care Plans do not include accessibility audits, manual testing, interpretation of scan results, remediation, or compliance determinations. No guarantee of legal or regulatory compliance is provided. Accessibility reviews and remediation services are offered separately under a distinct agreement.

Termageddon is a tool that adds legal policies to your site—like Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Cookie Notices—that automatically update as laws change. If your site collects contact form data, analytics, or donations, you’re legally required to disclose that. This keeps you covered without needing a lawyer or constant edits.

We include a Termageddon license in our Care Plans at no extra cost.

Yes, you can cancel your Care Plan at any time, no questions asked. Just give us a quick heads-up so we can prep your files and backups before you go.
